Tide to Go
Spilling orange soda all over your white shirt just moments before a final presentation seems like a memorably embarassing experience. Unfortunately for clumsy and unlucky people like me. Situations like this are not rare. I never panic though; I simply take out my Tide to Go pen. Some may look at the little orange pen and doubt its powers, thinking that it is just some cheap product that will only smear the stain, creating an even bigger eyesore than before. Little do they know, however, that the Tide to Go pen is actually a magic wand that can make stains instantly disappear right before your eyes. In my experience, it has successfully conquered ice cream, spaghetti sauce, grease, mud, India ink, and even mysterious I-wonder-where-that-came-from stains. My Tide to Go pen has not only saved me from many potentially embarassing situations, but has also rescued some of my most beloved clothes from being permanently un-wearable. So what is my favorite item in my purse that I cannot leave home withou? My Tide to Go pen!

Contact
Atlus Co. - 2006
Contact for the Nintendo DS, I believe, is one of the great games to come to the console that has been severely overlooked. It's another title from Atlus that presents great art and combines art with interactivity to create a fun, lush, and in depth game. Atlus is known for this stuff, look at things like Skygunner and Disgaea for examples of their work. The game itself is very unique and utilizes function of both screens, with a majority of the action occuring on the touch screen. Not to mention that there are hundreds of things to pick up and use and so much to interact with. Look it up before there are no more!

Gateway Handshake
Cleveland Bound Death Sentence - 2004
Anyone who is remotely into pop-punk has heard of Dillinger Four or Pinhead Gunpowder. What happened when the two biggest personalities from those bands met in the twin cities along with a female guitarist/vocalist from Madison, and some guy known only as "Buddha" filling in on guitar for a guy named "Spitball"? You got Cleveland Bound Death Sentence's Gateway Handshake EP.
Aaron Cometbus and Paddy Costello lead the way for this side project band whose last release came out way back in 2004. It's got the male/female vocal thing going on (with incredible lyrics, by the way) and their hooks are just hookier than on your average album.
While the music is really incredible, what really sets Gateway Handshake apart is the comic book lyric sheet. The lyrics are laid out as the dialog for a comic starring the band and some burnt-out lush character wearing a cat costume. (I could ask for nothing more from these four songs on seven inches of vinyl.)
