Alpha Epsilon Pi won its third consecutive IFC Bowling Championship by defeating Alpha Chi Rho 2-0 in a best of three series, April 7 at the Center Lanes in Philadephia.
AEPi handily defeated AXP in the first game 785-690, but AXP would not go down without a fight. The Crows were winning the second game heading into the 10th frame, but thanks to AEPi's Ari Sagiv and his turkey, the Lions made a roaring comeback to take game three, 810-787 and clinch yet another championship.
Evan Epstein led AEPi with 360 pins over the two games, giving him a 180 average. Sagiv followed him closely, scoring a 355.
The Crows' Mike "Big Easy" Serock had a series-high 394, while Darren D'Achille picked up 325 pins over the two games.
"We overcame a lot of adversity this year, between losing guys and trying to compete for a third straight title," Sagiv said. "But we were determined to win the bowling championship. It was a team effort and I'm really proud of how we finished."
