Sixth Annual City Six Charity 5K Run
The Drexel Athletics Department, along with "City Six" colleges LaSalle, Villanova, Temple, Saint Joseph's and Penn, are organizing the sixth annual American Heart Association 5k Run, which will be held March 31 at 9 a.m. in front of Boathouse Row. University students and faculty can sign up at the Daskalakis Athletic Center weeknights from 6-9 p.m. All registered faculty and staff will receive free T-shirts and the first student organization to have 10 students registered will receive a pizza party.
Fulbright-MTVU fellowships
Fulbright-MTVU fellowships are administered to students for conducting research abroad for one academic year on projects of their own design around aspects of international musical culture. During the 2007-08 year, four fellowships will be given to students nationwide. Applicants must submit an outreach plan outlining how they will share their activities with their peers during their Fulbright year as well as propose projects on "the power of music" as a force for mutual understanding.
College of Medicine commencement
The Drexel College of Medicine commencement ceremony will take place at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts May 18 at 10 a.m. Responses and regalia will be completed online this year by April 6. Participants who have their own regalia must make eating arrangements. Regalia will be distributed at the Academy of Music or the Kimmel Center prior to each ceremony and all participants must wear academic regalia.
