Marginean named CAA Rookie of the Year

The future looks very bright not only for the Drexel women's basketball team, but also for rookie Gabriela Marginean.
Marginean was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, along with being named to the All-Rookie Team and All-Conference Third Team.
In Marginean's first game since earning the award, she scored 28 points and collected 11 rebounds in a win over Georgia State in the first round of the CAA Tournament.
The most memorable moment in her young career was her record-setting performance, 47 points and 22 rebounds, in a five-overtime victory over Northeastern Feb. 22. '
Marginean was the only rookie ranked in the conference's top 10 in scoring and rebounding. Not only did she perform at the highest level compared to other rookies, but she also led her team in scoring and rebounding.
