Looking for something useful to get the hardcore gamer on your Christmas list? Then check out Razer's Tarantula Gaming Keyboard. It has a host of features to enhance the computer gaming experience. The Tarantula's appeal comes not only from its capability, but from its appearance as well.

The Tarantula is jet black, with a matte finish on the palm rest and a glossy finish on the rest of the keyboard. In low light conditions, the macro keys on the side of the keyboard are backlit in blue, and another backlit Razer emblem on the palm rest helps you get your hands to the part of the keyboard where they need to be. If that isn't enough to get your fingers in the right place, you can get an expansion kit that washes the entire keyboard in blue light. This will keep your desk looking professional in the day, with a sleek black keyboard, and sharp at night, with blue backlighting on certain keys and the Razer emblem.

Additionally, the Razer Tarantula has special gaming capabilities. Anti-ghosting capability makes unlimited key combinations possible. While your normal keyboard will stop taking input once you hold three keys down, the anti-ghosting on the Tarantula allows you to hold down as many keys as you like at the same time without losing keystrokes. Make buying weapons or other tasks that require a series of keystrokes simple with ten built-in macro keys, five on each side of the keyboard. The Tarantula features 32KB of onboard memory. This allows you to store up to five profiles on the keyboard itself, allowing the profiles to be transferred from computer to computer. The software included with the keyboard makes it possible to program in combinations of up to eight keystrokes and 200 milliseconds of delay for each macro key. No longer do you have to go through a complicated set of keystrokes to access menus and individual items. Just program in the key combinations and let the keyboard do the work for you. And when you forget which key does what, don't fear; the keyboard comes with ten extra interchangeable symbol keys depicting potential macro assignments, such as zoom, grenade, weapon, ammo and punch.
