Human Resources gets new Vice President from MedQuist

Adele Barbato was recently appointed the new vice president of Human Resources. Barbato comes to the University from MedQuist, where she served as the senior vice president. MedQuist is the nation's largest clinical health information and medical transcription company.
Before working at MedQuist, Barbato was the vice president of Human Resources, International Operations and Global Diversity at Unysis, where she spent 19 years and served on many business units as the senior human resource leader for the company.
At Unysis, Barbato created strategic and operational HR programs for international business units, encompassing more than 20,000 employees and 40 different countries. She is credited with being a leader in key talent rewards, management change and diversity initiatives.
Barbato attended Washington International University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in international business and participated in Columbia's strategic market management program.
She brings more than 35 years of domestic and international HR experience to Drexel.
