Elizabeth Dale has been appointed the senior vice president for institutional advancement at the University, replacing the position's interim holder, Peter Frisko.
Dale's previous position was that of vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Since 2002, her role entailed administering the development and alumni relations departments. In addition, Dale served as a faculty member in the department of hospitality and tourism management. Dale spent a total of 27 years at UMass Amherst, holding positions such as director of conference services, director of business and facilities services and assistance chancellor.
Dale also founded the UMass Amherst Foundation, and continued to oversee relations between the foundation and the university. Under Dale's direction, the foundation has 100 employees and an eight million dollar operating budget.
Frisko will return to his prior position as associate vice president, after serving as the senior vice president for institutional advancement since December 2005, overseeing the most lucrative year in the University's fundraising history discounting the Drexel Campaign.
According to the University's release, "Dr. Dale's range and depth of experience will serve Drexel well as she builds on the fundraising momentum gained over the past decade."
