Larceny

1) A Drexel student's Mongoose bicycle was stolen from a bike rack at Disque Hall, May 25 at around 11:09 a.m. The student claimed to have locked his bicycle to the rack.

2) A Drexel student found the front passenger side window of his vehicle smashed, May 25 at approximately 4:57 p.m. The student stated that he had parked the vehicle on the 200 block of 32nd Street near Winter Street at around 6:45 a.m. When he returned, he found materials and other items thrown on the floor. A $10 roll of quarters was taken from the ashtray.

3) A tan and burgundy Buick Riviera was found on the east side of the 100 block of North 32nd Street May 25 at approximately 2:25 p.m., according to an anonymous caller. Officials from the Department of Public Safety found the vehicle with its glove compartment open. A newspaper, a stack of other papers and a box were inside; however, nothing appeared to be stolen. A tag was left on the vehicle informing the owner to contact DPS immediately. At around 4 p.m., a Drexel student contacted DPS and said that his Nike bag, a few books and $2 in loose change were stolen from the car.

4) A Drexel student stated that $320 in cash had been stolen from his room in Myers Hall, May 30 at around 2:30 p.m. The student said that he locked the door when he left his room at 12:40 p.m. He returned at about 2:15 p.m. and found that his wallet and cellular phone were missing. The student's roommate added that when the building's fire alarm went off, he left the door unlocked. DPS officials advised the student to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.

5) An individual contacted DPS and said that his Palomar mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike rack on the west side of Matheson Hall, May 30 at approximately 9:04 p.m. The person said that he had locked his bicycle on the rack at around 6 p.m. When he returned at about 8:50 p.m., his bicycle was missing. The bicycle is described as having a GT Rigid suspension with blue front forks and a white frame.

6) A Drexel student said his Dell 600 laptop was stolen from his office in the LeBow Engineering Center between 12:45 and 12:55 p.m., May 30. The student last saw his laptop at 12:30 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry on the office door and the serial numbers of the computer were not available at the time. A report was made to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Vandalism

7) A vehicle with its passenger side window smashed was found on Powelton Avenue, May 25 at about 5:20 p.m. A Kenwood stereo face and a remote were found on the front seat of the vehicle. Both items were stored in the trunk so that they wouldn't be stolen or tampered with.

8) A car was found on the east side of the 300 block of North 34th Street near Baring with its front passenger side window smashed, May 30 at around 8:43 a.m. The inside of the vehicle appeared to be intact at the time. A Drexel student contacted DPS on May 31 in response to the vandalized vehicle tag on the car and said that nothing was missing from the vehicle.
