SoE climbs ranks in U.S. News & World Report
The School of Education has been ranked among the top graduate education programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's 2007 edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools." SoE is ranked 16th among the nation's private colleges and universities and 57th overall. In the 2006 edition, SoE ranked 18th among private colleges and universities and 66th overall. The standings are based on the surveys of deans of education schools and superintendents, student selectivity, faculty resources and research.
Activities Unlimited II to take place April 19
Based on the positive responses to an informal poll of students, a second session of Activities Unlimited has been scheduled for April 19 from 12-2 p.m. outside of the Daskalakis Athletics Center. This event will be open to the student organizations that participated for the first event, which was held April 5. Student organizations are advised to reserve their tables, as space is given on a first come, first served basis. For more information contact Sarah St. Denis at (215) 895-6074.
Dragonfire nominated for Webby Award
Dragonfire, the University's online magazine, has been nominated for the Webby Award of 2006 Best Magazine Web Site. Other nominees include The New Yorker, National Geographic, Grist and Make magazines. The 10th Annual Webby Awards received a record number of entries from over 40 countries and all 50 states. Dragonfire is also eligible to win a People's Voice Award. Voting is open to the public from April 11 to May 5 at http://peoplesvoice.webbyawards.com.
