Major reconstruction projects will be occurring around Drexel during the coming months. These plans are taking place not only in the hopes of beautifying the Campus, but also improving the quality of student services offered by the University. Areas that will be affected include the Quad, Nesbitt Hall, the Bossone Research Center, Commonwealth Hall, and the Main Building.

The changes will be particularly evident with the Student Resources Center and the Financial Aid Operations office. "We are merging the SRC and Financial Aid Operations area into one space on the second floor of Main," Vice President for Enrollment Management Joan McDonald said. "Currently, those functions are spread throughout three offices located on the first and second floors of Main. The second floor space has more square footage and, consequently, students needs will now be served in one space versus. referring them to other offices in Main Building. It will now truly be a one-stop shop for students' academic and financing needs. Construction on the new space begins Monday and should be completed on or about August 17."

Director of Communications for Student Life and Administrative Services James Katsaounis told The Triangle about some of the other projects taking place around Drexel, two of them being the Main Complex and Exterior Building Sign programs. "The Main Building sign project is still pending. The purpose of this project is to design uniform signage for offices and classrooms throughout the Main Building complex," Katsaounis said. "The Exterior Building Identification project is to create uniform signage for all Drexel Buildings. Currently, the University Relations office is working on the designs for exterior signage for the Pearlstein Business Learning Center. Once a design for the new Pearlstein building is chosen, other Drexel buildings will likely follow the same design." Katsaounis further mentioned that there is no expected completion date for this project.
