Bloggers are the underground journalists of cyberspace. While the major news networks feed off of Associated Press and Reuters wires, the Bloggers have had a knack in the past to dig up breaking news events and scandal allegations before any of the big networks know what hit them. From Matt Drudge and the Monica Lewinski incident, their investigative journalism never gets in the way of their unique political analysis.
I looked at the twenty photographs [that won the Pulitzer Prizes for 2004 and broke them into groups on the basis of content. Here are my results:
* U.S. troops injured, dead, or mourning: 3
* Iraqi civillians harmed by the war: 7
* Insurgents looking determined or deadly: 3
* US troops looking overwhelmed or uncertain: 3
* US troops controlling Iraqi prisoners: 2
* Iraqis celebrating attacks on US forces: 2
Equally telling is what the photos don't show:
* US forces looking heroic: 0
* US forces helping Iraqi civillians: 0
* Iraqis expressing support for US forces: 0
* Iraqis expressing opposition to insurgents: 0

Of course, this was the same Idiotarian tune that the Taliban were singing when they proclaimed that the Evil AmeriKKKan Cruise Missiles would be led away from their targets by Allah hisself. Obviously Allah had a bad hangover that day, or maybe it's just that our Tomahawks don't speak Pashtun."

"At the Washington Post, Marina Ottaway of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace says it would be a big mistake for the US to condemn [the UN Report blaming the United States for the Arab's world degrading conditions], and that we should accept it as the best we're going to get and Listen To Arab Voices, no matter how hateful and whiny they are."
