Donate to Habitat for Humanity ASB Trip

Attention Freshmen with remaining Flex dollars. Rather than let the remaining Flex dollars on the meal plan go away or spending it all frivolously, consider donating some of that money towards Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break trip. Eight volunteers will be traveling to Minnesota during Spring Break to build a house for a family in need.

These volunteers currently are fundraising for the trip and would greatly appreciate any help. Consider buying snacks, two liter bottle cola and other non-perishable items. For more information e-mail diana@drexel.edu.

Tutor high school math students

Math can be an extremely frustrating subject for high school students. Volunteers can help ease the pain by working with Philadelphia school studentsone-on-one and in groups. As a tutor at Lamberton High School, you will assist students in improving their math skills interactively through the use of various tools.

Volunteers will be able to work with a very welcoming and supportive principal, and help enrich students while influencing their important college and career decisions. These are very motivated students who are eager to begin work with a college tutor. And, the Center for Civic Engagement will provide SEPTA tokens to get you there and back. Students with work study money can get paid to make a difference! Contact Ann Clay Alexander in the Center for Civic Engagement at ann.clay@drexel.edu.

The schedule is flexible, and all expenses will be covered. Volunteers have the opportunity to work a few free hours between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Interested students should contact cce@drexel.edu or rmc39@drexel.edu.
