Giosa's pins lead Dragons over North Carolina, Brown

Freshman Ed Giosa was the fourth Dragons to win Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week as he pinned his opponents in Drexel wins over North Carolina and Brown.
Jon Oplinger and Ryan Hluschak, two other freshmen who have been honored in 2004-05 for Rookie of the Week, also went 2-0 on thee day.
Against the Tar Heels, Giosa pinned North Carolina's Isaiah Britton to give the Dragons the lead for good.
Earlier in the day, Olpinger's pin proved to be the turning point in the Dragons' win over Brown as it gave the Dragons a 7-3 lead.
Hluschak also pinned his opponent to give the Dragons a 25-7 lead.
The Dragons return to the Daskalakis Athletic Center Feb. 12 to face CAA leader and Natioanally ranked Hofstra at 1:00 p.m. in a conference battle that may decide the top spot in the CAA.
