Those in the news who present either a positive or negative impression of themselves are de facto nominated for being either persona cum grata (person with grace) or persona non grata (person without grace).
- James Mack Jr.
Persona Cum Grata
Michael Chrichton - Author of the book "State of Fear," which debunked most of global warming as a myth. Mr. Chrichton is taking a staunch stand on C-SPAN this weekend defending the book's assertion that global warming is mostly a product of misguided environmental scientists.
Howard Dean - While the face of his candidacy was different from the face of his governorship, he holds real promise in becoming the DNC Chairman. It's entirely possible that he can rescue the Democrats from the far-left elite that control the party now.
Persona Non Grata
Steve and Virginia Pearcy - Homeowners in Sacremento, Calif. who placed an effigy of a United States soldier hanging by a noose outside of their home to protest Bush's military policies. So very sensitive.
Senator Joseph Biden (D - Del.) - He recently said we need to consider Iran's "emotional needs," while debating the nuclear question. Their emotions could vaporize half of the middle east if they have an itchy trigger finger.
