That streak and those wins have yielded a 8-6 overall record and a 4-2 conference record, as well as fourth place in the CAA and a rank of 76 in the country (which has Bracket Buster implications).
While their record, rank and place in the standings may not rock your world like my buddy Jose Cuervo, consider the following:
First, take a look at whom, where and most importantly how they lost six games. They took a beating versus Penn at the Palestra in what was our first game of the season and their fourth. We lost to Rider. Okay, so that was a bad, unexplainable loss.
After that, our next loss came against Delaware at The Bob, when we missed a lay-up which would've tied the game. After a win versus Quinnipiac, we lost two straight on the road versus Big East contenders Seton Hall and Syracuse. Second, take a look at our season long infirmary report.
Tim Tillman, a.k.a. T 2, suffered a season-ending knee injury before the season even started. Sean "baby hook" Brooks had been sidelined since Nov. 23 against Penn with a foot injury.
Danny Hinds suffered a hand injury and still wears a cast during practices and games. Meanwhile, Phil Goss and Jeremiah King have missed a considerable amount of practice time with sinus infections, the flu and other seasonal illnesses. But to be perfectly honest, they are the only ones that have been reported or that I know about. I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that there
Next, consider that the "boys in blue" have been away from the unfriendly confines of the DAC for nine out of 14 games thus far. (My apologies for using Pierre Robert's reference to all four Philadelphia sports teams).
