Men's Lacrosse opens season with 15-4 loss to Virginia

The Drexel men's lacrosse team opened their 2004 season with a 15-4 loss to Virginia, the top ranked team in the country.

The Dragons fell behind 8-1 at the half but never gave up, and scored three goals in the fourth period. Drexel's Jessue Rumble led the Dragons with two goals as Sean Moloney added a goal and an assist.

Four Virginia players scored two goals apiece in this contest. The Cavaliers managed to take 46 shots over the entire game.

The Dragons continue their early season play when they travel to Lafayette Feb. 28 before coming back home take on St. Joseph's March 3 at Franklin Field.
