Lawson named Second Team All-Mid Atlantic

After a phenomenal 2009 season, Katie Lawson of the women's lacrosse team was named Second Team All-Mid Atlantic Region. Receiving this recognition now makes Lawson eligible to receive IWLCA/US All-American honors. When the award was announced, Lawson may have been the last of her teammates to know.

Philly coaches come out to 'Bowl for the Cure'

The National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Research Society partnered up in 1993 as part of a prolonged effort to raise funding for research to beat the disease that continues to elude a cure. While basketball consumes their life on a daily basis, it comes as no surprise that a myriad of college basketball coaches in the city of Philadelphia would volunteer their time to aid the cause - even if involved a change of sport for a night.

Cavs' collapse might chase away King James

As we all know, LeBron James could possibly be the second coming of Michael Jordan. What place better for the next Jordan than the media capital of the world, New York City. Over the past few seasons, the New York Knicks have apparently been dumping players to make salary cap space for the King himself, whose contract is up with the Cleveland Cavaliers after the 2010 season.
