Pennoni discusses 'Taki,' president search

Honesty, integrity and service - those are the messages C. R. "Chuck" Pennoni, interim president of Drexel University, would like to get across to students. The president, who is working pro bono for the University, said he believes in the expression, "We can't guarantee you success, but we can guarantee you honesty and integrity.

Jones becomes Honors College dean

Drexel Provost Mark Greenberg appointed Dave Jones, the acting interim dean of the Pennoni Honors College, its official dean. Jones will be responsible for the leadership of the college, which encompasses the Honors Program, Study Abroad, Center for Civic Engagement, the University Writing Program, the STAR research program and "The Smart Set" journal.

LeBow holds reception for new business center

The LeBow College of Business held an opening reception for its new Center of Excellence, the Center for Corporate Reputation Management, the first interdisciplinary one of its kind in a United States academic institution. GM files for bankruptcy, closes plants nationwide

General Motors Corporation filed June 1 for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, making it the second-largest industrial bankruptcy in history, according to The Wall Street Journal. President Barack Obama said in a statement the government would be "reluctant shareholders" of the company until GM is once again able to succeed.
