A female Drexel University employee reported being assaulted in Stratton Hall at approximately 6:15 p.m. May 29 and a suspect is being sought, according to University public safety officials. The suspect fled with the victim's cell phone and had a black handgun, but no serious injuries were reported, according to James Katsaounis, executive director of communications and marketing for the Division of Student Life and Administrative Services.
A female crashed her friend's car into the side of two houses on 32nd Street between Summer and Winter streets May 24 at 2:30 a.m., according to Domenic Ceccanecchio, senior associate vice president for Public Safety. Drexel University women's lacrosse players rent one of the two houses which the car crashed into; the other house is rented by non-Drexel students.
Police have identified Marvin Sutter, 42, as a suspect in the May 29 Stratton Hall robbery and have issued a warrant for his arrest, according to Domenic Ceccanecchio, senior associate vice president for Public Safety at Drexel University. Three University staff members, including the victim, picked Sutter out of a photo lineup, Ceccanecchio said.
The suspect wanted for robbing a Drexel University professor was arrested at approximately 3:30 p.m. in North Philadelphia while driving a stolen car and carrying a handgun, according to Drexel Public Safety officials. Detectives from the Philadelphia Police Major Crimes Unit arrested the suspect, Marvin Sutter, after spotting his car and following it to the 1300 block of Allegheny Avenue.

Jocelyn Kirsch appeared in federal court May 29 in Philadelphia to face a new allegation of credit-card theft in California, according to the Daily News. She allegedly stole the credit card of an unidentified victim to whom she was not close. Judge Lynne Sitarski placed Kirsch, 22, on 24-hour house arrest in her Marin County, Calif.
