Two weeks have passed since the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee originally released its allocations for the 2008-2009 school year. Every undergraduate at the University contributes to the pot of money SAFAC distributes. Therefore, it is important that the student body be assured that these funds are distributed in a fair way.
Rising gas prices and environmental concern have brought energy policies to the forefront of many people's minds, especially in an election year. Newspapers across the nation reported May 16 about California's legalization of gay marriage. Instead of "domestic partnerships" or "civil unions," gay couples can now officially call their relationships "marriages." The news was met with great enthusiasm among same-sex couples across the state.
