Government is synonymous with bureaucracy. Bureaucracy is synonymous with slow. We all know that the government can take a significant amount of time to change; we've grown to accept this fact. Issues such as universal healthcare and global warming are certainly important, but yet almost no legislation has been passed to address needs related to them.
Take a walk down 34th Street and you're bound to notice Greek Row. Turn down Powelton Avenue and there's no way you can miss the Greek houses. Maybe you've read "Pledged" or seen ABC Family's "Greek," and who hasn't heard one or two stories about hazing - but what really happens in Greek life at Drexel? If you watched this season of "Greek" and came to college expecting to see sorority girls dancing around the fraternity lawns in their underwear, you may be a bit disappointed.
Drexel is infamous for having professors who don't make themselves available. If you don't know this already, you'll find out eventually one way or another. Students realize this usually when they need a professor to write a recommendation for them for a job or a scholarship.
Andy, I'm concerned with having to live in a co-ed dormitory as an incoming freshman. I've never lived with members of the opposite sex before, and want to know how to handle this big change. Any advice? -Ben Ben, there really isn't a clear answer for this question...
Before entering my freshman year of college, I anticipated being overwhelmed with things to do. I thought about how busy I would be with all the things Drexel had to offer. During my first couple of months, I admit that I was very disappointed with how mistaken I was.

Dear Editor: "Today Drexel, tomorrow world domination." That's what my mortarboard reads from my graduation cap when I was in the second class to shake Taki's hand. It was an homage to him when I heard he either wanted to run a university or be president of Greece.
