Drexel room, board costs among highest in nation

For Drexel students, college expenses are soaring higher than ever. Tuition rates are rising at exorbitant rates, textbooks are costing an arm and a leg, and the price of urban living in Philadelphia doesn't come cheap. While this weight on students' wallets may be a nationwide phenomenon, Drexel has distinguished itself from the rest of the pack. The University has been named as having some of the most costly room and board options in the nation.

Displaced students still have questions

Since Feb. 7, when a pipe in Myers Residence Hall burst, there has been constant action to deal with the water damage to the south wing of the building. For all the action being taken, there are just as many questions about what the future holds for residents affected as for the building itself.

Men's lacrosse stuns No. 1 Virginia; ranked 17th

On Feb. 17, the men's lacrosse team pulled off possibly the biggest upset in Drexel University sports history when it knocked off Virginia, the defending champions and No. 1-ranked team in the country, by a score of 11-10. Virginia had won 17 straight games and 19 in a row at home.

CoE recognizes students at Honors Day ceremony

Drexel engineering students, professors and families gathered in the main auditorium for the Honors Day ceremony Feb. 21. Honors Day is a part of National Engineers Week, which Drexel celebrated with a variety of events. The Honors Day program stated, "Drexel's College of Engineering is an assembly of some of the most innovative and progressive minds in the country.

Annual Egg Drop kicks off National Engineers Week

The University celebrated the 13th Annual National Engineers Week, hosted by the College of Engineering, Feb. 18-23. This is the fifth year Drexel has joined in the celebration, and there were 11 events planned for students partaking in Engineers Week.
