Call of Duty 2 plays a lot like the original game, which is definitely a good thing. Infinity Ward's Call of Duty games have differentiated themselves from other games by presenting a quickly successive mission schema based on changing objectives. While games like Doom 3 leave the player to "go here and kill things," Call of Duty 2 is not afraid to put killing as a secondary function when a mission requires it.
