The University has recently announced that a new residence hall will soon be constructed at the vacant basketball court at 33rd and Race streets and ready for the Fall 2006 move-in.
A site team from the Pennsylvania Department of Education conducted a three-day site visit at the University July 27-29 to examine its application to open the law school in Sept. 2006.
The Goodwin College of Professional Studies will be hosting the Applied Engineering technology program for a second year.

The new Web site for the College of Media Arts and Design (CoMAD) went public Aug. 15. The redesign was the product of a six-month long endeavor between Electronic Ink, a user interface design group, and students from CoMAD. The new site is a clearer representation of the talent displayed by the students of the college and meets with web standards and user requirements.
The University has finally reached a settlement with 18 of its one-year MBA students from the class of 2003 with each student receiving approximately $3,500. The verdict came after a hearing in June before a grand jury.
The 57-story Comcast Center is scheduled for completion for Fall 2007 making it the city's tallest building surpassing that of One Liberty Place.
The University has announced the launch of three new online Master degree programs in engineering Aug. 11. The programs offered by the College of Engineering include a Master's in electrical engineering, a Master's in computer science and a Master's in software engineering.
