Men's basketball survives against JMU, holds on to top spot

The Dragons expected to make easy work of their lower-ranking counterparts, who rank 10th and ninth, respectively, in the CAA.

Wrestlers drop match to Lehigh

Feb. 22 was Senior Day for the Drexel (9-14, 5-4 Colonial Athletic Association) wrestlers, but at least 100 Lehigh (20-4) supporters turned the Daskalakis Athletic Center brown and white as the sixth-ranked Mountain Hawks dealt the Dragons their fourth loss in a row, 33-6.

Women's hoops hold off Towson, fall to Pride

The Drexel women's basketball team split their third weekend in a row by defeating Towson 74-67 Feb. 20 and falling to Hofstra, one of the top teams in the Colonial Athletic Association this season. The Dragons remain in the middle of the pack in the CAA as the regular season winds down.

Perry, May awarded at CAA Championships

Drexel's men's swimming and diving team placed seventh and the women placed ninth at last weeks Colonial Athletic Association Championships. Anthony Perry placed first on the one and three meter boards to earn Outstanding Diver of the CAA Championships. Perry set a new conference record on the three meter board with a score of 610.

Men's Lacrosse opens season with 15-4 loss to Virginia

The Drexel men's lacrosse team opened their 2004 season with a 15-4 loss to Virginia, the top ranked team in the country. The Dragons fell behind 8-1 at the half but never gave up, and scored three goals in the fourth period. Drexel's Jessue Rumble led the Dragons with two goals as Sean Moloney added a goal and an assist.
